This blog is for the posting of Vintage Recipes. I have inherited recipes from both my grandmothers, mother, aunts, etc over the years. I am also a cookbook collector with several old cookbooks in my possession. My goal here is to share with you older recipes that have been lost to many. I hope you will enjoy my blogs and some old memories will be revived by some of the recipes. Note:To save the vintage value of these recipes, I make no changes. You see the original recipe as written.

CALICO CARROT CAKE
This is another of the old recipe clippings from my late mother's recipe shoebox. This is another one that is cut from an old almanac calendar. My grandpa had to have one of these every year where he hung it in his kitchen. All gardening was done according to the almanac and the weather forecasts were always from these calendars. Grandpa didn't drive so my mom or dad would have to go to the local Rexall Drug Store to get him a calendar every year.

This treasure has been made by my mother for almost all of my birthdays. Now, I make it myself. Every other carrot cake I eat is compare to this one, none have been as good.💕
