1 c sifted all purpose flour
1/4 c sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c corn meal
2 eggs
1 c milk
1/4 c shortening
Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in corn meal. Add eggs, milk and shortening. Beat until smooth. Pour into hot greased pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
