This blog is for the posting of Vintage Recipes. I have inherited recipes from both my grandmothers, mother, aunts, etc over the years. I am also a cookbook collector with several old cookbooks in my possession. My goal here is to share with you older recipes that have been lost to many. I hope you will enjoy my blogs and some old memories will be revived by some of the recipes. Note:To save the vintage value of these recipes, I make no changes. You see the original recipe as written.

MICROWAVE CHOCOLATE CHERRY CAKE
I have had this recipe so long I can't remember where I got it but I think it was given to me by a lady doing an evening demo class on microwaves at the JCPenney store in Plano, Texas. I loved it that she gave her classes on the evenings I was on the management closing team. I could pop in and out of her classes and I always got to share in the goodies she made!

Hi Linda!
I wonder if it's recipes like this one that brought the microwave cakes in a mug into the 21st century! Have you tried making this in a mug?
Thanks for sharing...
Louise, That is a good point. No I haven't tried it in a mug but that sounds like a good idea. I may have to let my grandchildren try that.
Linda
I haven;t tried any of the Microwave Mug dessert recipes yet, Linda. I'm too afraid I'll like them all and that would be very, very bad, lol...
Great for the kids though. Let me know if you do. I have a couple of grandkids that would probably love them too!
