I only let it cool a few minutes, less than 5. I often turn the fan over my stove on and set it under the fan for a few minutes to pull the heat out fast. It would not have been out of the ordinary to be served a meal like this. Mom used to slice spam, and lightly fry it and serve it with eggs and home made fried potatoes and onions. That would be a breakfast/ brunch/ or supper.
She also made spam in small squares and made a sweet and sour sauce ( if we were lucky it had tinned pineapple chuncks) at the last minute she'd add frozen peas ( or fresh from the garden), and serve the works over rice. And we loved it! LOL, now I'd want more authentic Chinese, but then that was great.Kootenay Anniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00579468777202638825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7893107393703079442.post-50246186309816450862012-07-27T13:04:49.548-07:002012-07-27T13:04:49.548-07:00How long did you cook the filling before it looked...How long did you cook the filling before it looked "clear"?
