ZELDA'S STANDARD HOT ROLLS

This recipe is from an old church cookbook.

3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp salt
1 cup boiling water
1 cake yeast
1/4 cup warm water

Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water (not hot). Add sugar, salt, and egg. Mix yeast mixture to half the flour. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Let rise.
